Hello, I am Paula a 49 year old married mother of two. Jake 20 and Sarah 19.

Hello, I am Paula a 49 year old married mother of two. Jake 20 and Sarah 19.

I am the leader of the Holistic Healthy Lifestyle Team.

Currently weight in at 56.6 kilo's I aim to get down to 55 kilo's and maintain at that.

Have slight hip osteo arthritis in both. Doctors and specialists told me a few years ago I would need to have 2 hip replacements which I refused to have, or at least put off as long as possible. I am doing things naturally, fixing my diet, weight loss and the like.

I also have Scoliosis in my back have had it since I was a teenager. I wore a back brace then for 2 years which prevented it getting any worse.

My issues make exercising very difficult. So am unable to do much of that other than normal stuff like housework, gardening when I am able.

I try to eat healthy and organically where possible and avoid all preservatives and additives and processed food where and when I can. Plus I am wheat free not Gluten free & trust me when I tell you there is a difference between the two because there is.

I Drink reverse osmosis water from my water filter. Use Australian made and owned cleaning products that are non toxic and without any harsh chemicals.

I have interests in candles, reading, feng shui, computers, positive thinking, spirituality, new age thinking, Leptin Diet, soccer and gardening & beginning Sewing to name a few.

My Goals:
My goals are to to get down to 55 kilos and maintain at that.

To not drink coffee, soft drink / soda anymore.

To live a healthier lifestyle for my hips.

My Program:
To watch my portion sizes to serve up and eat less.

To track food.

To get 7- 8 hours sleep a night!

Not to allow junk food into my life or the temptation to eat it.

I will lessen the amount of wheat I eat to almost none unless I am out somewhere perhaps.

I will not drink coffee / soda / softdrink of any kind.

To drink at least 7 glasses of water a day!

To not eat after dinner each night of the week.

I will also use all of the resources that are available on SparkPeople for us.

Keep up with my positive affirmations.

To exercise when I can.

Thanks for stopping by my blog...someday...I'll learn to actually relax!

And with the Paprika Bacon/....you take some slab bacon...usually 4x4 pieces...boil them with some garlic until you can pierce the under rind with a fork...transfer the meat onto a dish and pat dry...while the bacon is still hot...sprinkle paprika over it, not too much! wrap in wax paper and chill...
when cooled...slice a piece off with a piece of bread and enjoy!

Not a very healthy food, but, a nice ethnic treat once in awhile!
