I KNOW that I WILL do this!

Like a good yeast bread, I had risen & doubled in bulk over 25 years--literally.

This isn't a new battle. I've been wrestling with my weight for, what seems like, my entire life. I've counted calories, done Richard Simmons, done exchanges, etc. etc. etc. The weight came off, but came back.

After some health issues in 2011, I stepped on a scale for the first time in years. At that moment, I weighed 323 lbs. I realized that I had a choice. Continue on my current ...

Continue on my current path, and wind up with diabetes & other health issues, or change direction and get the weight off.

I worked with a registered dietician for a year -- it was a great refresher course for everything I'd ever learned about eating correctly. She also pointed out that I needed to get moving. I had no idea that I'd become so sedentary. "Use your legs or lose them, honey." -- what a wake up call! I also needed to start drinking water.

So far, I've lost 50+ lbs, and got stuck. I joined SparkPeople to get back on track to my goal of losing 140 lbs total--safely and permanently.

The scale has been back and forth several times since then-- I'm currently 12 pounds above my lowest weight. And, now that I'm entering my fourth year of this journey, I want complete the task at hand!

So it's time: time to get moving (I'm counting steps), time to write down EVERYTHING I eat (in my food tracker), time to celebrate Non-Scale Victories (like getting my BP back to what it was 30 odd years ago!), time to draw on the support of my SparkFriends & support them in return, and time to get back to "One-derland"!

The line is drawn in the sand -- time for me to move forward!

Thank you Susan for the goodie. I can certainly use all the Sonshine I can get! I will be glad when this winter is over. Thank you for your prayers for my husband. He is in desperate need.
