Spark me up!

I'm almost 30, recently married with a new degree and career. With so many great new things in my life I think now is the perfect time to become more active and healthier.

My goals revolve around being more active, taking advantage of the many great outdoor opportunities in Oregon and being proud of what my body can do.

I'm not trying to lose weight, I've tried, succeeded and gained it all back more than a couple of times. Trifling! I suspect I may lose some weight in ...

I suspect I may lose some weight in the process of being more conscious about what I eat and being more active, but it's not a specific goal and I won't be obsessively tracking it as I have done in the past.

My Goals:
My goal is to be able to be more active and do all of the fun outdoor activities that I'm too out of shape for right now.



My Program:
I'm tracking what I eat with the nutrition tracker, avoiding fast food and junk food and trying to eat as much "whole" (i.e. not processed) food as I can.

I get cardio by taking my bulldog on long, fast daily walks. He's working on his fitness level too. I'm also doing some videos, my plan currently is to progress to gradullay more difficult fitness videos.

month 1 (thru April 22): Sparkpeople 28 day bootcamp

month 2 (thru May 22): 30 day shread

months 3-5 (thru Aug 20): P90X

At that point I'll see where I am and reassess.

Personal Information:
I'm from Portland, OR, I love kintting, cooking, hiking in the woods or the gorge, camping, playing with my bulldog.

I'm an accountant studying for the CPA exam. I live an hour (each way) from my office but work 4-10s so I don't have to commute 5 days a week, but this makes my Monday-Thursday hectic.

Welcome to Spark people. Looks like you are really busy w/ everything on your plate!
(I live just across the river in Vancouver, USA.)

Way to put health & fitness right up there w/ everything else. -- Good luck in your journey. Staying with it is the "trick".
