Well I'm Back!! All that work to lose only 10 lbs and now I have gained back 9 lbs of it. I can blame it on the fibro hurting me all the time so I eat comfort foods but the truth is I did it to myself without fore thought or care because I was and still am hurting...I guess life isn't fair again. Another thing I should add to my list of things I have learned in my 53 yrs. I have to admit I am not enthusiastic about being back here but something has to be done. When you ...

When you hurt 24/7 it is hard to get motivated.

I WILL LOOSE WEIGHT!! I AM WORTH IT!! I CAN DO IT!!

i feel better already. my gut doesn't stick out so much now. i think i have lost a chin. my pants are falling off. my shirts are looking bigger. i have more energy. don't get me wrong i still have my days when things are looking gloomy for me but for the most part i can see a difference. my family see's the difference. i have only lost 10lbs but it is turning to muscle and shifting around to better places. even my socks are getting bigger on my feet. i can wear my wedding rings again. i smile more. i would like to see the scales move more. i know they are going to move anyday now. inches have fallen away but not the weight i carry around. it is hard to stay motivated when the scales don't cooparate. 10lbs that is 1/5 of the weight i want to start with...then re-evaluate. i love the thought of being in a size ten or smaller dress again. i dream of the day i can wear a bathing suit that doesn't look like something my grandma use to wear and looking spetacular in it. buying something little and cute would be wonderful. I CAN DO IT!! if i can imagine it, i can become it!

Thanks! I have read so many people saying if your calories aren't high enough you won't lose. I was wondering if I was missing something. I appreciate your encouragement also -- AND I do have more muscle and my legs are much smaller, which is a good thing. emoticon

Congrats Peachz! I just dropped by and noticed you have lost a LOT of weight! I am sooooo happy for you! I have still only lost inches and NO pounds -- after all these months. I know it is part of my health problems but I had really hoped if I kept my calories down and exercised faithfully, I would lose weight.

In an effort to outsmart my very rebellious body, I have increased my exercise. I'm not sure if I need to increase my calorie intake as well, as I don't know where to calculate. Would you happen to know how to calculate calorie expended/calorie intake for weight loss? Is there a calculator on this site?

If not, no problem I'll just ask on one of the forums.

Anyway, WAY TO GO!
