I am 40+ yrs old and i used to be a Football captain in good shape now i can't walk up steps without breaking into a sweat and breathing hard. i need to loose 50-100 pounds. This would also help my lower back pain.

I saw your post where you commented on the 'one day at a time'. That's pretty much how I approach this, with a short term goal for sometime in the future, but that's not hard and fast. I weighed 333 at my top weight, I was 206 this morning. It's been many years coming off, but it is happening. Keep on keeping on, it can be done. Someday you'll RUN up stairs and not break a sweat.
