Hello, I'm Tara! I've done this before, and now I'm going to do it again.
Marketing by trade, graphic designer by education, interior & decor blogger by night, Italian food lover & cook by birth. Optimist & aesthete.
Since graduating college, I've lost over 70 lbs and gained it back again. I have had a lifelong struggle with my weight, and since I've never been "thin", my goal number is kind of abstract. So I'm working toward a healthy lifestyle and a healthy BMI. Also, no back pain and not being winded when walking up the stairs!
I undid a lot of good, hard work, but I realize that sleepwalking through life is not something I want to do anymore. I am serious about being healthy because I know as I get older it will only get harder. I want to fix my bad habits before momhood because I don't want my future children to go what I went through! I want to live a long, healthy life and be a positive inspiration to my family and friends.
- Reading. I have about 5 books at a time checked out from the library.
- Cooking & eating out. I am a lover of good food, especially simple, local & seasonal. Cupcakes are a love & a vice!
- Decor & design. Blogging for Apartment Therapy is a dream come true!

"Nothing in this world is accomplished without passion."
Simple pleasures I'm thankful for: warm sunshine, cupcakes, cuddling, bright flowers, smiles, crisp fall air, carousels, fuzzy animals, libraries, running, mediation, massages, hugs, music, dancing, picnics, kissing, hiking, driving, wandering, holding hands, fresh sheets
Smells that make me happy: cut grass, bacon, new rain, simmering marinara sauce, firewood, cookies baking, the magnolia trees on Comm Ave, the lilacs at Arnold Arboretum, sea air
