My Goals:

My Program:
I had gastric bypass surgery on November 5, 2008. The natural weight loss has stopped and now it is all about my actions. So, cardio cardio cardio. That's my program. And I'm also sticking to my 4 week diet.

Personal Information:
I live in the DC metro area.

Other Information:
I would love workout / diet partners.

Welcome to Gastric Bypass! You'll find plenty of support and encouragement here. No question is too stupid to ask, so post away and we'll all put in our two cents worth. Utilize all the tools SP has to offer. I find tracking my food and exercise most helpful. Good luck on your weight loss journey!

I just wanted to stop by and say hello. You have such a welcoming smile!

I read your blog and i know how you feel. I gave up my heels a LONG time ago for comfort, but I will have them again one day. I have been doing
SP since this summer and I am down over 50lbs so far. I have not done anything drastic or dramatic that I knew I couldn't maintain. Like I know I needed to increase my activity but I didnt start off with saying, I am going to run 5 miles a day every day. You know that would be ridiculous and I would set myself up for failure. I started off writing down all the things I needed to do like stop with the fast food and sweets and stepping up my activitiy and I worked on one or two improvements at a time.

I still have issues every now and then. Like for instance, my brother in law works for Lays so once a month he comes over with like 2 or 3 HUGE boxes of Doritos and Cheese Puffs and snacks and stuff. And before my lifestyle change, I was like YEAH! But now I am like NO! At first I thought I could manage the temptation, but I was eating those chips every day. The chips are in the garbage and he knows not to bring any more, not even the light chips and none for the kids either....

Sorry for being long winded. Writing for me is a much better habit than the mindless eating. Cleaning is another and I have a lot of cleaning to do. But I just wanted to stop on by your page, say hello, and offer some encouragement. YOU CAN DO THIS....we are all struggling thru this together and look how many pounds other SP members have lost! Hang in there. You can do it too!
