Every Moment is the FIRST moment of the REST of my LIFE!!

I should follow this advise:

"Never make someone a priority in your life
who makes you an option in theirs"

That means I need to make MYSELF a priority in my life, not just an optional part of my life. IF I want to be as healthy as I can be.

My Goals:
To accept God's love, to let myself believe God truly does love me unconditionally.

To make my learning a new better-for-me life-style a top priority in every moment of my life. Rather than a sometimes affair.

My Program:
I am in the process of learning "NEW" Healthy habits with the goal of their becoming my "Normal" Living habits. It may take the rest of my life to get my body to its natural weight. I prefer slow loss to my new forever weight rather than quick and having the battle of the bulge go on forever.

Personal Information:
I just LOVE old movies (40's and 50's especially) "Random Harvest" "Mr. Chips" "Pride and Prejudice" "Singin in the Rain"
AND how about the music!! BIg Band (Glenn Miller, the Dorseys) the singers: Frankie Laine, Perry Como, Billy Eckstine

Other Information:
I am an American with ancestors from other countries and ancestors who fought in the Revolutionary War (and other wars since). I live in the Northeast in one of the New England states, New Hampshire. I live in an old body (with a young soul), am retired, a widow, & have 3 middle-aged children(?).

I just read this poem & felt it too good not to share on this CHRISTmas Eve! God bless!

{This is another version of 'Twas The Night Before Christmas' }

'Twas the night before Jesus came
and all through the house
Not a creature was praying,
Not one in the house.
Their Bibles were lain on the shelf without care
In hopes that Jesus would not come there.

The children were dressing to crawl into bed.
Not once ever kneeling or bowing a head.
And Mom in her rocker with baby on her lap
Was watching the Late Show while I took a nap.

When out of the East there arose such a clatter.
I sprang to my feet to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash!

When what to my wondering eyes should appear
But angels proclaiming that Jesus was here.
With a light like the sun sending forth a bright ray
I knew in a moment this must be THE DAY!

The light of His face made me cover my head
It was Jesus! returning just like He had said.
And though I possessed worldly wisdom and wealth,
I cried when I saw Him in spite of myself.

In the Book of Life which He held in His hand
Was written the name of every saved man.
He spoke not a word as He searched for my name;
When He said "it's not here" my head hung in shame.

The people whose names had been written with love
He gathered to take to His Father above.
With those who were ready He rose without a sound.
While all the rest were left standing around.

I fell to my knees, but it was too late;
I had waited too long and thus sealed my fate.
I stood and I cried as they rose out of sight;
Oh, if only I had been ready tonight.

In the words of this poem the meaning is clear;
The coming of Jesus is drawing near.
There's only one life and when comes the last call
We'll find that the Bible was true after all!

(by Reverend Edward M. Gionest, Sr.)

To those who receive Him, He gives the power to become the sons of God, even to those that believe on his name. Repent and declare with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him up from the dead, you will be saved.

I found the recipe on a Spark link. Generously butter 2 slices of homemade bread, sprinkle lightly with sugar and cinnamon, place on piece butter side down on a griddle or frying pan, cover with about 1/3 cup bittersweet or semi-sweet chocolate chips, sprinkle lightly with sea salt, place the other piece of bread on top and finish cooking. Flip until both sides are golden brown and chocolate is melted. Very similar to making a grilled cheese. VERY yummy, and rich. I certainly couldn't eat more than one though.

I understand. A few years beforeI met Peter I lost someone I'd expected to marry. I literally hid out from my friends because being the third wheel, and pretending to enjoy myself, was worse than being alone. Hang in there, and take care of yourself.
Hugs, Gail

Hey there! Saw your comment on the forum about the goals/streaks/controls... oh my gosh, they wore you down! emoticon I'm kidding... but I do understand and I actually started paring down my list of goals, etc., as well. It's like I always say - no matter how much technology we come up with (and I'm an IT person), sometimes what you really need is good old-fashioned pen and paper! That's what I use most of the time! emoticon
