Life is about the journey not the destination

Life is about the journey not the destination, that's what I use to say but not when it comes to weight loss. I believe both are equally important.

My weight issues began in the last 5 yrs. Was a pretty chubby baby - it didn't bother me then, was rather thin in my younger years as I became taller and grew out the baby fat. My weight issues began in the last 5 yrs. Was a pretty chubby baby - it didn't bother me then, was rather thin in my younger years as I became taller and grew out the baby fat. In middle school and high school I got a figure but wasn't in tuned with my girlie self enough to care to keep the figure - was absorbed in work and sports and enjoying life with friends. First year of college I was still a pretty good size but that was the end of the good years.

Started dating my ex - ate out all the time but in addition to that didn't do much exercising in college and the weight piled on. 5 yrs =50pds. Remember my also chubby ex telling me I should lose weight..hahaha

Unlike most the stories I've heard I haven't really tried diets I've always thought it was all about exercise. Never thought I ate much, still don't. Tend to eat when I am bored. Have gone days without eating because I simply forgot since my workload was heavy - however I am now aware exercise and food intake are equally important. Actually food intake is approx 80% of the solution (so I hear). So I began my journey as of 1/23/2010 - after joining the Fitness Revolution at my gym in hopes to shave off the pds + fat, so my abs could see the sunshine! :-)

P.S -some say I don't look like I weight what I do - I suppose my fat is tightly packed in! Well I aim to have under 20% body fat - in the next 2 years! I'm supposedly at 44% - I don't believe it but when I accomplish my goal it will be that much sweeter
