I started SparkPeople three years ago (according to recent e-mail messages), and was doing well until I met with some Life Challenges. I am a 62 year old Missouri nurse, and a Unitarian-Universalist Witch. Life is returning to a normal level of stress, so here I am again. As a Witch, I believe that I can do anything that I Will. I am wanting to reaccess this part of my self, for my spiritual well-being as well as for my physical health.

My Goals:
12 week goal, starting April 29,012: 1. continue to eat at least four vegies a day and a fruit or two. 2. get at least 30 minutes of exercise at least 5 days each week. 3. continue to avoid restaurants-no more than two times a week. 4. continue to walk the stairs at work, all seven flights, whenever I am there and time allows. And stretch before and after each of these "walks"!! Short term: be at least 10 lbs lighter before I get to go to Scotland and Ireland in October 2011. First ever overseas trip, and I don't intend it to be my last, so I need to stay healthy!! MET: Sept 3, 2011. Revised goal: 215 before I get on the plane!! Medium term goal: Be at least 50 pounds lighter when I go in for my next annual exam in June 2012 and impress the hell out of Dr. Allmon. Be able to get off my meds. Long term goal: End up at 140 pounds (80 pounds loss total) sometime in the foreseeable future. Long term goal: be able to sustain physical
My Program:
Started Aug. 1, 2011. Weight: 222.7 lbs. Nov. 26. 2011: Next short term goal: Sign up for a 5K (real, not virtual) and be able to run at least part of it. Go back to NOT eating in restaurants routinely (I've lost that one again) Long term goals: Weight 140. Off my meds!! Able to do the physically active things I want to do with minimal pain.
