10/12/11: I have lost 127 pounds using Spark! I had a slight setback in October 2011 with a pregnancy that didn't work out, but I realized that I cannot put my life on hold! I gained a few pounds during the pregnancy (15) and I am back to take those pounds off plus the rest of weight I need to lose!
8/18/11 Spark is a life saver! I have lost 127 pounds using the Spark website and I couldn't be more thrilled with my progress! However, I am taking a break from "weight loss" to focus on a healthy pregnancy. I found out on 8/3/11 that I am expecting my third wonderful child! My husband and I are so happy with this somewhat unexpected little miracle. I had told my husband that we would "try" to have another child until I was 34... after that , I didn't want to risk it. Two months away from my 34th birthday, I find out that I am pregnant! :) So Spark will help me stay accountable in my workouts and eating properly, but I am focusing on health and not weight loss. I'm still on this journey, so join me!
Hi! I'm Amanda and I am here to prove to myself that I can take this weight off... again! I lost 98 pounds a few years ago and put it back on and then some! I had a daughter in May 2010 and the day I walked in to deliver I was 354 pounds! Of course some was baby :) Anyway, when I started concentrating on losing again, my "starting weight" was 322. I can do this again... I know I can!
My goals are to lose to a healthy weight and to feel great! I want to live a long life with my wonderful husband, two perfect daughters, and my beloved dog! :)
I currently have about 40-50 pounds to lose. I plan to take this in 10 pound increments!
I eat 1200-1500 gluten free calories per day and try to workout 45-60 minutes daily. I rest on Sundays. For workouts, I tend to gravitate to kickboxing- Tae Bo and Tapout! I have done P90X, P90X2, Insanity, Insanity Asylum Vol. 1, Insanity Asylum Vol. 2, Tapout XT, Tapout XT2 and T25. I am currently working on P90X3! Of them all, Tapout is my favorite!
I am from Texas but live in Upstate New York. And by Upstate NY, I do not mean 5 miles North of the City! LOL I am WAY Upstate in the Adirondack Mountains about 2 hours from Canada!
I am very involved in my community. I am a volunteer EMT, President of my Ambulance Squad, member of my local Planning Board, chairperson to a subcommittee of that board, a board member for our local Arts Center, and treasurer for the local business association (like a chamber of commerce). So as you can see, I like to stay involved! ;)

Thanks for the support... Yes to quote part of what they said that they were "bloody boring" I can understand that no one really cares if I had a good or bad day but it helps with accountability. I can also understand and respect that it bothered them being in their feed so much and I can understand unfriending me I just don't understand why they have to let me know lol

Hey you! No, I haven't been on spark much lately either, but it doesn't mean I don't miss you and my sp friends! I have kept pretty busy this past year. Returned to work full time as a preschool aid, which worked great for me and the boys, and not so great for my health. Trying to bounce back now and enjoy the summer, while running to several baseball games a week :) Don't be a stranger...message me anytime and I'll try to be better about writing back right away! ~Cathy
