Kick in the Pants to Fit in my Pants

So as someone who has always valued fitness and health I found that I surprisingly gained weight while in college. Shocker that midnight pizza and beer could do that! I graduated college and I was engaged and had a wedding planned for August of '09 thinking that would motivate me to take off my extra weight. Again I was wrong who knew a lot of stress came with a wedding along with a lot of events that involved good food and lets face it good drinks. So here I am almost six months after my ...

I graduated college and I was engaged and had a wedding planned for August of '09 thinking that would motivate me to take off my extra weight. Again I was wrong who knew a lot of stress came with a wedding along with a lot of events that involved good food and lets face it good drinks. So here I am almost six months after my wedding and both my husband and I are fed up with our extra love weight. HIs sister is getting married so there is a little inspiration there but also I want to be healthy for when we decide to have children. I am a postpartum/NICU nurse and I see the results everyday of having unhealthy pregnancies and it is so important to me not only for my future family but also to set an example for my patients that I am the picture of good health!

Personal Information:
I am 23 years old, a postpartum/NICU nurse, a sister, a wife, a dogowner, and an aunt. I love my little yellow lab Dixie to death. She definately is my baby. My hobbies include reading SHAPE, Fitness, and Women's Health, singing, exercising, running when it is warm out, I live in MN so that isn't very often, going to my parents cabin to hang out with my fam, and cooking with my husband and for my husband.

Other Information:
My favorite quote: "What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger." My sister quoted it to me almost on a daily basis when I was younger.

Hello, I found your posting on how you feel after you work out -inspiring. I realized that I too notice my legs getting into better shape (while working out) and that's motivating. Thanks for taking the time to share that. It gave me new incentive to keep going-and doing those extra leg lifts. :)
