No excuses

Hi there! I'm Jane. I'm 37 years old and sooo tired of being overweight. I have struggled with weight issues since I was a teenager. I have been back and forth with contemplation vs. commitment. Am I ready to commit to myself to be healthy? I always feel like the answer is yes but then life happens and before I know it I am off of my path of commitment and back in the stages of contemplation. Hi there! I do feel that all of this yo you dieting has led me to lower my metabolism and make it even harder to acheive my goals. It has come time for me to take a realistic look at myself and be commited. Stop making excuses. I have one for everything I have a friend who has been on this journey with me for the last 20 years and it is amazing to me that we can keep having the same conversations over and over. We have started a 10 pound challenge which we will have to do 7 times over to achieve our goals. The loser takes the winner out for a girls night. Since we live over an hour away it is a great motivator to be able to spend time with one another.
I think I have finally moved on from contemplating to commitment. I saw some photos of myself from a weekend with old friends and was not happy with what I saw. I realize if this is going to happen to me I have to be commited to myself. I feel like the hardest thing for me is to come up with a plan. When to exercise and what to do. I feel like I am finally finding a groove with that and getting better at goal setting.
I'm here to get support to help acheive my goals and to motivate others to do the same. Good luck with your journey!!!

We are all inventors, each sailing out on a voyage of discovery, guided each by a private chart, of which there is no duplicate. The world is all gates, all opportunities.
