I am 72 years young, married to my first love for 52 years. We live in Maine, VACATIONLAND. We came here from England and intended to stay just 2 years. We have stayed here 51 years in the same city and have been very happy here. Our sons had to move away from here alas to find work. That gives us two places we need to go to visit. Our other son is in upstate New York. He is the closest but you cannot get there from here in the winter. There is just too much snow in the White and Green ...

Summer we try to catch up with the grandchildren.

My Goals:
My goal is to be as healthy, fit and happy as possible. I like to see places in Maine in our small Motor Home and drive it as long as I can.

My Program:
I have always tracked food due to allergies so that goal is almost met. Improving my fitness (after a back injury cramped my style) is a little harder. I use my stepper to stregthen my leg that was adversely affected from the surgery. I love to walk outdoors in the summer. In the winter I have to overcome my fear of falling on ice so I walk on the treadmill daily.

Personal Information:
My name is Pat my mother was Nora, hence Noraspat. I was born during World War 2 in England. My mother, brother and I were homeless till I was about 10 years old. I never met our father. Our mother always told us. We will be Clean, Honest and you will both be well educated. That was the way it was. We were poor and happy living with any relative who would take us in for a while.

Other Information:
My husband and I rent movies, nothing nasty we lived with enough nasty in our childhood during the war. We like comedy and old classic Mystery. We miss Alistair Cooke masterpiece, the newer ones are often not as good as the older ones, times change and I do not. I ran an alterations shop in town for 24 years and loved doing it. The boys are in Upstate NY, California and Nevada and I miss them a lot.

Yes! You're doing something very right. I know it's a bit early but I tend to get forgetful so I'm wishing you a Happy Mothers day now. Love you.

WOW Pat - I am in Mechanic Falls - Just outside of Lewiston/Auburn area. We are not that far from each other. Probably a little over an hour drive! As soon as I am better maybe later in the summer we can make a point to meet. I would just love that. Hugs Jojo emoticon

I do hope your health food store can help with an EO that will help your sleep. I was amazed, but when I decided to try it, I thought I had spent years trying other things and if it didn't work, that was one more thing that I had tried. It is rare for me to awaken now, and if I do, it isn't hard to get back to sleep.

I am not riding my bike yet - I am having a condition when makes riding it difficult - but when it clears up, I do intend to ride again. DH and I will be taking the RV to Branson in a couple of weeks, when my semester is over. I am still teaching a bit in the fall and spring semesters. We had a trip to FL planned - DS lives in Pensacola and we have gone for several years in a row, but she was called for jury duty and not knowing how long it will last, etc as well as some issues here at home, we decided to stay closer to home. We will go to our RV park in Branson some and also to a trout park about an hour away that DH likes to go to.

I also have planted some garden; I need to do a bunch more, including squash and tomatoes! DH and I are enjoying some lettuce salads and I picked six [ha!] ripe strawberries this afternoon that we will enjoy this evening. I have 50 plants; I do hope to be able to have some to freeze.

Let me know about the EOs!

Life becomes harder for us when we live for others, but it also becomes richer and happier.–Albert Schweitzer, theologian, philosopher and physician

Forgive those who have crossed you. Your forgiveness is your most important contribution to the healing of the world.
