Pretty Girl Swag- 30 before 30
It's that time of the year where I get to look at the goals I had previously set and see if I achieved them. I am calling this site "Pretty Girl Swag" PGS because of the song by Ciara, the song message probably does not seem that empowering but there are some lyrics that are so much about building confidence. So I have stolen the title and have made the title part of a movement in my life. I am all about the mental, physical and spiritual wellness. Building a holistic me is what PGS is ...

I would be happy if other women wanted to get in on Team PGS. #30before30 is the new motto. Trying to drop 30 pounds and keep it off before I turn 30. I am 27 now so here we go

My Goals:
Goal: drink up to 8 glasses of water daily Goal: be happy! Goal: be active for at least 10 minutes a day - Be able to do 25 standard pushups in a row - FINISH A CHALLENGE Midterm Goal- Lose 10 pounds by Superbowl Sunday; run 10 miles straight by February Lose 10 lbs by March, 2013 Lose another 10lbs by May 2013 Lose a full 30 lbs by August 2013 _____________________ Goal: NO MORE SODA - habit kicked April/08 Participate in my first 5k April 2011 -ACCOMPLISHED OCTOBER 27th,2011 Goal: Run a Half marathon (3.16.2013) Accomplished Time 2:48!!! My goal time 2:45 WOO HOO!!!!
My Program:
Portion Control and lots of Cardio - I feel that I do not need to cut out all the good food, but modify the amounts in which I eat it.. - Take the stairs, walk a little farther each day.. -Smile and stay positive

Other Information:
I love reading, writing, politics. My favorite authors right now are Jodi Picoult and Alice Sebold, both of their best sellers are going to be turned into movies within the next year!. I have a passion for activisim and politics and was recently admitted to American University, in D.C. I will be attending school in the Fall of '08
