Time to lose these refound pounds!

September 2014 - Ugh, just had to reset my weight loss ticker. :( Up almost 10 lbs this summer, time to get back on track. I've joined the fall 5% challenge which will be starting Sept. 20th (Go, Casual Travelers!), and started the official 10-minute daily exercise streak challenge on 9/4.

My Goals:
Lose 3 or 4 lbs per month till I reach my ideal weight.

A permanent lifestyle change with more fruits and veggies, more activity, less junk food. Moderation NOT deprivation!

My Program:
1000 to 1300 calories a day, walk outdoors or on the treadmill, or ride my exercise bike, at least 5 days a week.

I'm a FitBit user. It motivates me to keep moving and reach my step goal of 7,000 steps a day.

Personal Information:
I live in upstate NY, near Buffalo with my husband, our adult disabled son, and an uppity 11-year-old domestic shorthair housecat. :) I'm blessed with a husband of 46 years who loves me no matter what. Our daughter lives nearby with her husband and 10-year-old daughter.

I am a born-again believer in Jesus Christ.

Other Information:
A favorite pastime is crocheting. It's relaxing and helps me to keep my mind off food.

I enjoy country music, especially the older music, and also southern gospel music.

I love to read, and am addicted to my Kindle Fire. I'm currently reading "Snow in August" by Pete Hamill with my book club, and "Midwives" by Chris Bohjalian. My reading interests include a variety of fiction genres depending on my mood, non-fiction historical books, and inspirational. Favorite authors include Karen Kingsbury and Sue Monk Kidd.
