I Just Won't Give up
My long story short is that I lost 35 lbs from October 2007-April 2008 when I joined WW and coincidently had started my Fibromyalgia/Chronic Fatigue treatment which included a hypoglycemic diet for one month. After April 2008, which included three birthdays in my immediate family as well as Easter, I never quite had the same will power and have gone up and down so many times its ridiculous. What keeps me from staying discouraged when I have failures is to remember that if I hadn't even been ...
What keeps me from staying discouraged when I have failures is to remember that if I hadn't even been trying all these years I would probably be up an additional 50 lbs or so. I am now convinced, especially after reading The Diet Cure, that my hypoglycemic diet helped kick start me and helped me with will power while doing WW those first 6 months. I think in addition to a gluten intolerance/addiction I have a sugar addiction, which is proving more difficult for me to deal with. One thing at a time.

My Goals:
My overall goal is to live a more active and healthy lifestyle. My weight specific goal is to get to about 150-155 lbs and generally a size 10. I had gotten down to 169 and size 12, but have put weight back on and am up to 185. My clothes are tight. My goal is to get back on track. I've joined a challenge team to help me get there.
My Program:
I am a member of WW, but have been counting calories rather than points. - I still am following the WW Healthy Habits Guidelines - I joined a 4 week challenge team to do at least 10 minutes of exercise a day, 5 days a week. I know if I get started I'll do more than 10 minutes most days. - I am trying to eat more whole real foods and go meatless once or twice a week. My husband is also a Spark People member and doing much better with counting calories than points. My 14 year old daughter is doing Spark Teens. They are following a similar program to me. (Daughter's pediatrician told me that if the food is good for you its probably good for her!) The only discouraging thing is I get the least amount of calories between the three of us! oh well. I'll just have to be smarter with my food.
Personal Information:
I am a 50 year old homeschooling Mom. My oldest daughter is working and saving hoping to go back to school to get certified as a day care teacher. My twins turn 20 in April. Both work part time jobs. My son wants to pursue a music career and my daughter is saving to go to school. I am still homeschooling my youngest. She is a member of Spark Teens and we are getting fit together along with my husband.
Other Information:
I am excited to get going again. I love to read and write. I got out of the habit of writing, but am trying to get back into writing my blogging. I am a stamper and scrapbooker and have taken knitting back up as well.
