I just read this poem & felt it too good not to share on this CHRISTmas Eve! God bless!

{This is another version of 'Twas The Night Before Christmas' }

'Twas the night before Jesus came
and all through the house
Not a creature was praying,
Not one in the house.
Their Bibles were lain on the shelf without care
In hopes that Jesus would not come there.

The children were dressing to crawl into bed.
Not once ever kneeling or bowing a head.
And Mom in her rocker with baby on her lap
Was watching the Late Show while I took a nap.

When out of the East there arose such a clatter.
I sprang to my feet to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash!

When what to my wondering eyes should appear
But angels proclaiming that Jesus was here.
With a light like the sun sending forth a bright ray
I knew in a moment this must be THE DAY!

The light of His face made me cover my head
It was Jesus! returning just like He had said.
And though I possessed worldly wisdom and wealth,
I cried when I saw Him in spite of myself.

In the Book of Life which He held in His hand
Was written the name of every saved man.
He spoke not a word as He searched for my name;
When He said "it's not here" my head hung in shame.

The people whose names had been written with love
He gathered to take to His Father above.
With those who were ready He rose without a sound.
While all the rest were left standing around.

I fell to my knees, but it was too late;
I had waited too long and thus sealed my fate.
I stood and I cried as they rose out of sight;
Oh, if only I had been ready tonight.

In the words of this poem the meaning is clear;
The coming of Jesus is drawing near.
There's only one life and when comes the last call
We'll find that the Bible was true after all!

(by Reverend Edward M. Gionest, Sr.)

To those who receive Him, He gives the power to become the sons of God, even to those that believe on his name. Repent and declare with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him up from the dead, you will be saved.

Since you didn't get the e-mails I sent to the gardening team, I am putting a copy of both of them below. I'm not sure why you aren't getting the messages. You might try going to the help section or tech support for help.

The 2012 Ask the Expert topic has been moved to the Expert Advice Forum.
For those of you who are new to the team or are not aware of this topic, this is a place to ask your gardening questions.
Most gardeners are knowledgable on one or many areas of gardening, so feel free to check the topic and comment on other people's questions.
As one of the Gardening Team's co-leaders and a Master Gardener, I check the topic when ever there are posts and try to answer the questions quickly, but other peoples input can be helpful, so don't be afraid to help out.

A reminder about our team topic 2012 Virtual Walk.
We are walking/running across the United States. So far this year we have traveled 563.4 miles, with an annual goal of 10.000 miles. We can do it with your help!
You can find this topic on the Gardening team home page. It is listed under the Exercise and Motivation Forum. Just click on 2012 Virtual Walk and join us by logging your miles each day and help us reach our goal. I do ask that if you are logging multiple days that you give the total mileage.
Right now we are at Great Basin National Park, heading out toward Bryce Canyon National Park. We are heading in a generally easterly direction, with frequent weaves to the north or south to visit places of interest along the way. If you have someplace you would like us to visit along the way, let me know as you log your miles and I will add it to the list. If you don't let me know we will go to my choice of places.
Come join the fun and see our mileage add up. Even if you are only walking short distance each day it all adds up to a great team total.
