Hi my name is Wendy. I live in South central PA. Hopefully through this page I can share a little bit about myself and maybe through the process provide inspiration and motivation to others.

I joined Sparkpeople a few years ago and it was one of the best things that ever happened to me. It was wonderful to be around so many other people that had the same dreams and goals as I did. I exercised regularly and followed the meal plans. I lost about fifteen pounds. Life was great! Then my illness had got the best of me and I was feeling awful. So since I did not feel well I ditched the meal plans because in my mind I was too exhausted to make healthy food and was definitely too exhausted and weak to workout. It was way easier to go to a fast food joint and grab a burger. It was quick and was definitely a comfort food for me. Needless to say a couple years later I am right back where I started and then some.

Well it finally hit me, my illness isn't getting any better with me put junk into it. If anything I was starting to feel worse from all the terrible food choices. So here I was broken down body starting all over again.

I have started all over again. But I realize if my body can't take a workout because I don't feel well. Then I don't do it because I will feel worse. But one thing that I have tried to change no matter how I feel is the eating. Even if your exhausted there are very quick meals that you can put together that are healthy. Spark-recipes and the SparkPeople members are loaded with great ideas. So use the resources that are available to you, they are free!

I have lost a fifteen pounds and eating healthier has made me feel better then I did. I still have a lot to overcome with the pain and fatigue. But I believe I am on the right path.

I know I have learned a lot through other people on this site and have been provided with much inspiration. So I say thank you to all of you who have contributed.

Favorite movies are Mary Poppins, Lord of the Rings, The Lion the witch and the Wardrobe, Seven, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and Tombstone. I enjoy wine, photography, reading, traveling and cooking. I have three pet birds, Tang, Tweety, and Harley. I have a Shetland Sheepdog named Sheldon.
