I am trying to get down to the goal suggested for my size by sparkpeople when I started and still not there yet. I keep resetting the end date, but hopefully when warmer weather comes, I will make it this year.

My Goals:
I hope to get down to 125 pounds, keep my cholesterol consistently below 200, and get more sleep.

My Program:
I am trying to walk at least 10,000 steps every day and go up 10 flights of stairs every day. My fitbit is great for helping me monitor my progress every day. The fitbit is helping me see how long I sleep, now I just need to limit finding so many fun things in the day so that I don't have so much trouble stopping and go to bed sooner.

Personal Information:
My name is Nancy and I live in Bellevue, Nebraska.

Other Information:
I am vegetarian, love gardening, enjoy doing creative things and have raised angora rabbits for their fiber to spin into yarn, but doen to only one rabbit. I like to knit, crochet, do some beading and make welded sculpture. I used to be a horticulturist for over 30 years, but now I work as a recreation leader at a rehab facility. One interesting fact is that my garden is a certified National Wildlife Habitat and my garden was featured in the July 2012 issue of Nebraskaland magazine.

I missed a 0 when mentioning your steps this month. Should have been over 250,000 instead of 25,000. That's what I get for not using the commas in the number! Great job!

The quinoa and black beans? Not sure how I said good and bad on that recipe. It was good. I did not follow exactly as I think it called for 2 cans of beans and only used one. I only had sharp cheddar and did not use quite a much cheese. Used spicy salsa and added onion and garlic. It was so good tasting that I actually had more than one helping and also had some with breakfast instead of the hashbrown my husband had.

So did you like the black bean casserole or not? Your comments have been both . . . I am wondering if I should try it!
