07/10 - 35# lost and the ugly truth is revealed - if this doesn't motivate me, nothing will!
09/10 - 46# down. You can see my top is loose on me whereas 3 mos before it was tight laying down.

Hi! I am Misty.
I was seriously injured in February 2004 while playing volleyball. Thankfully, I was in the best shape of my life as the prognosis was that I would never walk again. Walking again took 4 years, and in that time I was mostly bedridden/housebound. Of course, as my shape changed over the course of those 4 years, I started paying more attention to my health.
Having just entered the 40-somethings, knowing I beat the odds, and knowing wheelchair confinement is still a very real threat, I find it more important than ever to take care of myself as this is yet another statistic I intend to beat.
The pain of the injuries is still present, and I''''ve reinjured myself, so I''''m happy just to walk at this time. It''''s so easy to be inactive when walking is such a challenge, but inactivity begets more pain, so I move, albeit very carefully, as much as possible - which is not much these days.

07/29/2010 UPDATE: I am now midway through my time allottment and, no thanks to the month of July (only a 7 lb loss for the month) and my social calendar, I''''''''m midway to goal. I''''''''m hoping August''''''''s social calendar will be a bit kinder to the waistline and I can push myself a bit ahead of schedule. I''''''''d love to see a size 10 by end of August as my 12s are now a bit loose.

32.5 lost = purchase fit shoes - DONE - 07/19/2010
40 lost = new bras
50 lost = new casual clothes
65 lost = new dress clothes

I'm Misty. I have some serious physical limitations due to RSD from an injury sustained 6 yrs ago. If you have any exercise tips for persons with physical impairments in their legs, I sure would appreciate your help.
