Working at having it all...
I am currently working full time, pursuing my degree in clinical psychology, and attempting to lose over 70 pounds in order to get my hypertension under control. I'm a pretty busy gal!

My Goals:
My ultimate goal is to drop 72 pounds in total. This would not only get me back in my old clothes, but more importantly get my BMI within the healthy range and make me feel great about myself!
My Program:
What is working for me is actually pretty simple - I eat a "heart-smart" healthy diet, consuming no more than 1500 calories per day. I watch sodium and cholesterol as well as fat and calories. I also exercise for 30 minutes at least three times per week. My big reward to is have a treat on the weekends when I've had a good week, this motivates me to get the job done!
Personal Information:
I'm a Clinical Psychology student and I also work full time in the financial industry for a major bank. Two years ago I was diagnosed with hypertension and it scared me to death. That is what is at the heart of my quest to drop the weight now.
Other Information:
I LOVE to read! I spend most of my time with my nose in a text book, but when I'm not studying up a storm, I love to read novels of all kinds. In particular, I enjoy popular science fiction (The Hunger Games for example) and true crime stories. I also I am avid fan of the Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures franchises.
