Loving life
I am enjoying my life and trying to stay positive while I become a healthier person with more energy. I am enjoying my life and trying to stay positive while I become a healthier person with more energy. Well, back when I fit into the little black dress with a rhinestone belt I was a very healthy and fit woman in my mid thirties; or so I thought...Little did I know that my life would take an extremely crazy turn very soon. I found out that I had a brain aneurysm and I would need a craniotomy/brain surgery to have it clipped. I had to quit my fulltime Assistant Manager's job and relax. I also decided to get into the best shape of my life. Which I did. Hence, the little black dress. Can you believe that I didn't even take a picture of myself in it? I could kick myself. I wore it on New Years Eve 1999-2000 to bring in the new year.. So I had my surgery, which went fine. I had a stroke that night and lost part of my vision in my left eye. I have been on a very successful recovery program with a great deal of support from family and friends. I had all my leg and calf muscles atrophy down to nothing. I have regained the muscle and I am now trying to get back in to better shape. I have gained over 56 pounds. I weighed less than that when I was pregnant with my daughters. My goal is to loose a good portion of the weight before June of 2013 when my daughter, Debbie graduates. So please support me on this next journey I am embarking and give me any advice you have to help me on my way. I love the quick start excercises. That is my kind of workout because with my two daughters, my husband and I are always on the go taking them somewhere. As my daughters are growing older I am realizing that it is okay to carve out more time for myself. I feel that it is important to teach them that it is okay to "Take time to smell the roses and enjoy life." Changes I have made to improve my life: Taking time to be still. Reflect daily on my life and the wonderful family and friends that surround me. Logging my nutrition to ensure I am taking care of my body. Excercising regularly-sometimes this means that I need to get into the garden or do some heavy cleaning if I do not feel like actually heading to the gym. Rewarding myself for doing a good job and staying on track. Telling myself tomorrow is another day if I fall off track. Most importantly, I do one thing every day that makes me happy! Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead. - Louisa May Alcott, author

Personal Information:
I live in the Beautiful pacific northwest. I love to walk with my friends on a 3 mile path with views of mountains and water for inspiration. I am starting my own hobby business with my two daughters and we are having a lot of fun designing our own American Girl, Build-a-Bear, Webkinz, Groovy Girls and Cabbage Patch clothes. We also enjoy hunting for great deals we can pass on too other families. Check out our website: www.ForTheHopeChest.com. I do not like to sit still so I love to garden, craft almost any type, camping and reading.
