This time for sure

I've tried so many times in the past to lose weight. 10, 15 pounds, once 30 came off, but they go right back on. This time I'm commited to losing it, and making the life changes needed to keep it off.

My Goals:
I want to become more fit. Losing weight is a HUGE part of that. I'm also going to quit smoking. At the same time!?!?!?

Ok. Specifics, and small goals:
Lose 10lbs by the end of October.

Make exercise a habit-focus on cardio (4 days/wk) ST (2+days/we).
Cook meals more often- two days/wk, and make at least half the meals for work.

Get my life organized:
Put all my crafty s...tuff in order.

My Program:
I plan to:
Track my calories and fitness everyday.

Shop more frequently,
for fresh and whole foods, rather than proccessed.

Eat fish more often (I'm not a big fish fan so twice a month would be a big improvement).

Get outside everyday.

Journal and blog, and generally get more involved with SP.

Personal Information:
I Live in NW Missouri. I like to knit, crochet, cross stitch and read. I love to cook, but it's hard cooking for just one. I have two grown children, and two adorable grandkids.

LOL I Hope you don't try to walk around the block or 2 in THOSE shoes, although they are pretty!

Had a rough day today and I wasn't able to walk without the walker. I did set my date to quit smoking. July 1st is Canada Day here so I chose that date. I am going to use nicotine patches. They are covered by the government here. Keep me in your thoughts. I have tried sooo many times before.. Hope you had a great day and were able to get out and walk some. I still need lots of prodding and poking to get me to move on the days my knee co operates. See the surgeon on July 17th so maybe I'll be able to get a shot of cortisone and lessen the pain for a few months. Let's go Champions!!!


Oh my goodness!!! I just read the comment on my page. You have grown your family back. I did that too. Mine is still here at 35 but at least it is only him now. More and more of us have grown children and grands living with us now. It is what it is.

Hi There. Haven't heard from you in a couple of days. Hope all is well. I managed to finally walk for 5 minutes today, indoor. I have been almost exclusively off my feet for 2 months and need a walker. I did my 5 minutes today WITHOUT my walker. HOLY COW!!!! Keep pushing we are getting there. It's about the day by day little changes that add up into big changes. Talk soon,
