My name is Ruth,aka Mookball, a name my son gave to me when I first went online many years ago. I am a swimmer, kayaker, white water rafting aficionado, sailor (neophyte), downhill skier, biker (as opposed to cyclist, I bike sporadically) and a walker and stroller. My goal here is to take charge of my food consumption and effect positive changes to attain my goals.

My Goals:
Lose weight; flatten stomach, look better in my clothes.
My Program:
At present I am limiting my intake of fats; trying to include 2 to 3 dairy servings each day, using more fruits and vegetables and drinking lots more water (as opposed to caffenated coffee and tea); I try to walk about 3 miles each day, swim two to three times a week; bike on occasion.

I believe in setting goals and giving them a time frame in which to complete them. Recently I took an exhaustive course to become a crew member of a tall ship. Currently I am taking an early childhood education course so that I can be a more effective teacher when I volunteer in orphanages and day care centers in South America. At home I am active as gardner at my fellowship which is housed in an old creamery aside a creek .
