Hi my name is Sandy and I have struggled with my weight all of my life. Yo-yoing anywhere between a size 12 and 22. I have had many ups and downs with sparkpeople. I start off 2015 at 242 pounds my heaviest to date. My goal was to lose 88 pounds. I finished off 2015 at 2013 pounds. I had gotten down to 208 but the holidays hit and I gained some.

Because of health related issues (blood sugars and cholesterol) my dotor has put me on qsymia which should help me reach my goal. My goal is to eat 1200 - 1400 calories a day, exercise 6 days a week.

I still have a long way to go to reach my goal weight in 2016 and but I am sure I can do it with focus and alot of exercise.

My kids are my life and I want to make sure that I get to enjoy many years with them and potential grandchildren. So now is the time to get it together and stay motivated and focused on my goal.

My 2016 goals are to participate in a couple 5K's, drink more water, lose 50 pounds this year, set a good example for my children with eating and exercise, and stay on my spiritual journey remembering daily how to live a better life and treating others how I would like to be treated.

Personal Information:
I am the mom to two wonderful children. They are my motivation to lose. I would also like to feel good about my size again and finally be out of Lane Bryant.

Other Information:
I volunteer with PTA, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Church. I also love to read and draw.

    I am sorry to hear about your recent struggles with strength training if you want a great strength program you could always try the spark people videos or even try looking at how the exercises are done in the exercise library. I workout at home. Or one thing that gives a great calorie burn plus makes you feel good is strength training through circuit work. Check it out you just might find a great thing!!

    I also got 11 on my ITC. We have had a busy week. My middle one broke his pinky last week and today he had surgery to get pins placed in it. I did get some good workouts in the last two days but yesterday I twisted my knee so I'm not off to a good start for this week. Glad it's an easy ITC. Hope your lil' doggie is ok

    Thanks for stopping by and checking on me... I'm doing ok on my ITC's this week. I'm having to look up new upper body strength exercises because I usually do push ups or use dumbbells. I sprained one of my fingers and I can't lift anything heavy with it. So I have been doing arm circles ( which burn) and there are some more but I don't remember what they are. Hoping your weekend is doing good and your ITC's are coming along emoticon

    Enjoy your family time on Sunday, did you take a consistent day of the week off for the summer? I wish I had thought to do that.
    Off to a good start with BL first week, unfortunately had gained weight with company visiting last week so working my way back to the prior number. Never know how to answer that of SP - have you lost weight this week "why yes but not as much as I had gained ;)".
