A Journey

Living a healthy lifestyle is a journey that I keep trying to abandon. I'm back on the path...again. That isn't spoken as a failure, but a success. Many people walk off the path and never return! So here I am. Some days I may walk; some days I may run; and some days I may need to just sit to reevaluate my path. Regardless of the speed or intensity, the successes or mishaps, this is my journey and I will stop to smell the roses!

My Goals:
My goal is to take one day at a time:
pray and ask for God's strength, log onto spark people and change my thinking. I've tried and quit. I want to quit quitting.

My Program:
To recognize that I can't do this on my own, and that I need the power of God daily.

Use the nutrition tracker once a day; track my exercise and renew my mind by spending 30 minutes per day reading articles, recipes, communicating with other sparkies.

Personal Information:
Married, full-time student in MA for behavioral sciences, and most importantly, a lover-of-God!

Other Information:
Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.

The most important way to exercise our faith is not in ourselves, but in Christ who empowers us to do all things, according to His will.

how did the rest of your week go? i'm hoping that once i'm on my own again, i will do better at keeping track of what i am consuming. it's hard when i am eating something someone else has prepared because i don't know everything that goes into it... does that make sense?

monique. why haven't you been getting on here everyday. remember what you told me, there is no shame in a bad day, just keep moving forward. keep yourself accountable, and stop letting your emotions control your decisions. who am i to talk? but seriously, you want this, and this is just another step to getting you to where you want to be. don't give up, keep pressing in, YOU CAN DO THIS. keep running the race.

Don't feel bad. I ate a lot of junk Saturday from my brothers cookout with his fiance. Though I took a 9 mile walk.. and saved 1000 calories to eat there I think I ate about 2000 extra LOL I still have to weight in this week. I hope I even out. I'm not worried about it though.. I had fun!
