Budge the Pudge 2011

disclaimer: i do the no caps thing as it's a lot easier on my hands - if i could figure out a way to not hit the space bar my thumbs would be so happy!

so i do some things right, but not often enough to really achieve the level of fitness & good health i'd like.

i eat well, but too much. i like to exercise, but have trouble finding the time & then i get derailed by injuries (big & small). i am not very consistent with planning meals and getting in workouts.

i've lost 10-12 pounds a year for the last four years, but would like to lose the last 45 or so this year.

My Goals:
short term:

wear a chic dress to the auction march 20 (it's already hanging in the closet)

get rid of the last of those size 14s and get a new pair of fancy jeans

long term:

get to 130 pounds &/or size 6/8

run 30 mins 3 times per week

swim & bike (this isn't as hard as running)

good numbers - cholesterol etc.


My Program:
yoga at least 3 times per week

use the spark daily (fitness & nutrition particularly)

working up to:

20 mins walking daily

30 mins biking 3 times per week

swimming 3 times per week

Personal Information:
i have three daughters 23, 22, 17, and a nice husband who is home on the weekends.

i live near the beach & try to get there once a week.

i work full time.
i am working on my college degree and hope to finish in 2011.

my hobbies include: singing in the church choir, cooking, being more conscious about the way i live my life, gardening, reading, music, and movies. getting old has made it hard to enjoy some of these, but i'm going to make it work.

i have re-discovered my love of exercise, so i don't think of it as a hobby! i am loving yoga & swimming. biking is okay. i can't wait til i can walk & maybe even run for fitness again.
