I am a married 46 year old mother of four. As most moms, my kids are my life and I thoroughly cherish each day with them. My Goals:
1. Maintain my weight loss.
2. To complete 12 runs in 2014.
3. To share the running experience with family and friends.

My Program:
Eat smart and log my food daily and walk everyday. I recently became an avid runner and run at least three times a week. I've ran a 5K and a 10K. I ran my first 1/2 marathon with a sub 2 hour time, so I guess it's official now.

Personal Information:
I love horses! I've rode and trained them for over 30 years. I've also taught therapy dog classes for 10 years. I guess I'm an "all around" educator.

Other Information:
Mom of four kids ages 13-19. I am 5'8" and try maintain my weight between 135-140 lbs. I can honestly say that I am fitter now than when I got married in my 20's.

Thank you for your goodie. I'm so glad that particular blog (quite old at this point) spoke to you. I feel like it's a sign from God that I got your goodie today. I've been struggling so much since my husband died. My weight has been all over the place - from 105 to 125, up and down and all around. And my running has been too. I did four half marathons obsessively and now can't get into long runs. I guess it's grief and shock but I'm feeling so awful in general about my weight and my body. And I just reread my old blog because of your goodie. It made me pause and reflect. Maybe it's time to take that advice of that woman there and allow my weight to stabilize higher and just be...

Thanks for the shoes!

I'm feeling the weigh-in-for-challenge pressure on, too. Only I don't think I know my home weight yet. I'm just taking a stab at it, and figure I'll probably lose the challenge, one way or another. But I thought that would happen with Bannockburn, and it didn't. Only time will tell!

Hi, just imagine what happened to me this morning,
week 1 weigh in for Emma Nutt Day challenge...
The scale said I'm 65.2 kg, that is 4.5 pounds up, and definitely out of the 3%.
But I know the scale does things, and I ate well and did my workouts, also I found the scale upside down.
10 kg weight plate on the scale - it shows 11.8 kg. Ha!
So: batteries out, batteries in, weigh again .... 63.2.
The number on the scale is just a number, and sometimes it is not even accurate ; ))
