Breaking Through Depression

I absolutely love SparkPeople! I lost weight utilizing it in 2006 weighing in at 170 and losing a whole 40 pounds over a few months. Since then I have maintained my weight by sticking with what worked for me at that time; a high protein, low carb diet.

However, I also suffer with PTSD and in 2010 while under intensive therapy, I attempted suicide by taking 70 pills of my doctor prescribed meditation for said disorder. I was in a coma for three days and immediately released and ...

Needless to say, I stopped going to therapy and threw the prescription in the trash. Since that time I have been relatively stable. However, I have not been able to work consistently, still struggle with memory and concentration and a myriad of other issues.

One day I'd like to design an interactive computer program to help people with depression the way that SparkPeople helped me to lose weight. So I'm back! Maybe the support I received here to help me successfully lose weight will give me the same success to get on with my life.
