Finding the destination

2010: I'm a 40+ year old mom of 2. After weaning my 2nd baby, I put on 50 pounds. (Went from size 6-16). I've lost & regained some over the years but I *need* to get back to a healthy weight. I am tired of being obese.

Update 12/20/13: After a 3 year journey, I can finally say that I've reached my goal weight. It's been a challenging & educational journey. I have learned so much about health, nutrition and physiology and I'm proud of my accomplishments. Thanks to SP & my ...

My Goals:
My overall goal is to get healthy, feel better, have more energy and look amazing.

I had a time line that laid out my weight loss plan. Plans are great but need to be flexible.

So although I still hope to reach my goal weight, my real focus is going to be to have a BMI that falls into the normal range. Once I reach that, I can refocus on my goal weight.

My Program:
Action steps:
Exercise daily
Log exercise
Drink 8+ cups water
Eat a good breakfast
Eat healthy lunch no school food!
Limit alcohol
Watch portions
Healthy choices
Log all food

I was very pleasantly surprised how much better I felt after the chiropractor and how much his view aligned with mine - especially after going through holistic nutrition school. I go back tomorrow and Wednesday so he can get me ready for my 50 mile walk next weekend.

I see your status said you're struggling - please don't disappear completely - you can get through this with help. A lot of us have most likely been where you are and will be here to help you through. I have gained 20 pounds since May after my knee surgery and my current hip problems but I'm not giving up. HUGS!
