I have never been overweight, nor have I been fit/athletic. I despised the anxiety that sports gave me when I was younger and decided to not be a part of that culture. Meanwhile, noone did anything to discourage me from binge eating or changing my diet. Throughout college I would snack for most meals and then on Fridays and Saturdays I'd pick up a milkshake, microwaved pizza, soda, bag of sunflower seeds, and gummi bears and also binge drink to wash it all ...
Hi, I'm Miss Liabilities

I have never been overweight, nor have I been fit/athletic. I despised the anxiety that sports gave me when I was younger and decided to not be a part of that culture. Meanwhile, noone did anything to discourage me from binge eating or changing my diet. Throughout college I would snack for most meals and then on Fridays and Saturdays I'd pick up a milkshake, microwaved pizza, soda, bag of sunflower seeds, and gummi bears and also binge drink to wash it all down. These habits followed me the first years post-college until I moved in with my boyfriend who is a more consistent eater.

The 'Aha!' moment when I decided that I could become athletic and push myself came when my parents signed me up for a 10K. I thought that I could never do something like that in my life. On October 31st of 2010 I ran my first 10K in 1:00:23. The next month for my city's Turkey Trot 10K I ran it with my family in 58 minutes. I have never felt more proud of myself in my whole life. After a year of training I ran the Marine Corps Marathon in 2011. It was the most painful experience of my life and though I am glad it's off my bucket list, I will NEVER put my body through that again.

I'm still battling the last 10lbs, along with eating healthier - a lifelong process.

My favorite activities:
-Rock climbing
-White water rafting
-Running - LOVE IT!
-Weight lifting
-Yoga

Personal Information:
I work as a tax accountant - so 8-12 hours of my day are spent sitting on rear. Running has given me a time for solitary reflection and a chance to see and explore the beautiful city around me.

Hey!

Thanks for the blog comment. I am actually finding blogging everything I eat very motivating. I don't find myself going for ice cream/cake/cookies etc b/c I'm like..if I eat it I will have to blog it and everyone can see it!
