I discovered SparkPeople in June 2010, and have lost and gained the same 30-40 pounds since joining (so frustrating!). I recognize that I am a stress eater, and have allowed certain situations in my life to move me three steps back instead of continuing to move forward. Its true when they say that losing weight is a lifestyle change, because its so easy to gain back all that you''ve worked so hard to lose.
I found out about Zumba in February 2011, and have loved it ever since. Its such a great workout and you sweat like crazy! Its fun and allows me to incorporate my love for dancing at the same time. I''ve attended a live Zumba class, and also own one of the DVD''s, but currently I prefer to play it on my Playstation 3 or Xbox. I''ve been known to play at some strange hours - I''m such a night owl. :)
At this point in my life, I feel that I have all of the tools I need to lose weight, its just a matter of me being consistent each week to see the results I want. My goal is not to become skinny, but to reach a size/weight that I feel comfortable with. I have been up and down the scale many times throughout my life and have done some unhealthy forms of dieting just to try to lose weight. My goal is to not only reach a healthy weight for my height and body type, but more importantly learn how to maintain it.

My plan for weight loss:
*Do Zumba Fitness and/or treadmill at least 5x a week
*Do strength training 2x a week
*Drink at least 8 cups of water a day.
*Eat more fruit/veggies on most days, and a little less meat :-)
In my free time I love playing video games (Playstation 3, Xbox), watching movies on Netflix and enjoying the beautiful nightlife that Chicago has to offer, especially during the warm summer months. I love fashion - clothing, accessories, shoes, etc. and want to learn how to sew. I also LOVE dancing and different dance styles.
