I am 54 and need to drop the pounds to reduce lower back issues, help my knees out and all of the "normal" health issues from just being overweight! I travel a lot for work, in fact I am typing this while on a trip to Arizona. Travel adds some special challenges in watching the calories and finding the time for exercise. I look forward to learning more about this website and all of the resources available.

Fitness Minutes: 595

My Goals:
I want to drink 10 glasses of water every day, commit to 30 minutes of PA every day increments of 10 minutes or more, commit to 40 minutes of serious cardio at least 3 times per week and do strengthening exercises 4 times per week.


My Program:
I am keeping a large water bottle at my desk and in the car. I am parking at a lot 4 blocks from the office and always park at the back of parking lots to increase my steps per day. I am following the recommended strength building exercises provided here and just bought a bike to provide an alternative form of cardio exercise.

My name is Patti and I am a transplanted Jersey girl. Jersey girls go to the shore and not the beach. I have lived in the Northwest for 25 years and LOVE it! I am a proud owner of an annual pass to Mt Rainier Nat'l Park and work for the American Cancer Society. So if you are 50+, remember that you need to have your colon cancer screening and women 40+ need that breast cancer screening!! I am blessed to work for an agency with a mission that is so easy to give more than a 100% every day.
