Hi Mary, before Spark People, I never power walked or hiked. I basically just worked, cleaned house and raised 4 kids and one grandchild. My life has always been busy and eventful. With my son Ryan being diabetic, he was often in hospital.
He also played goalie on hockey teams while my youngest daughter was in dance and competitive dance. My younger son was into soccer and my oldest daughter was into piano and guitar so I had my days filled with going to games games, and activities that involved the children. I forgot to take care of me during those years but when I found Spark People, it all changed.....for the good.

My husband was a work a holic and did so much over time that it became his nick name "Mr. I'll be There" or "Mr. Overtime" I pretty well had little help with raising the kids because hubby was so busy. I dont begrudge this because when hubby was at home, he helped me all the time. He is a wonderful husband and father.

Spark People taught me how to make "me time" and time for fitness which I find to be relaxing and fun. THe faster the pace, the happier I am.

Hope this gives you a bit of and idea of just how beneficial Spark People has ben for me.
    Have a fantastic week

    Hugs Susan emoticon

"I wonder what Lisa's perspective is of you" I wonder that too Mary. Though I do know she knows how much I love Lucy…I just don't want to step on any toes if you catch my drift so to speak. Yeah, maybe when I start with her home in September, just maybe it will be good timing. But truly, the situation that I have with her now is really wonderful. IN a way, I get my cake and I can eat it too! ;o)
    Everything okay over there?????xoxoxo fredie

Thank you for thinking of me. I am still physically uncomfortable, hoping for no major issues and struggling a bit mentally. But it will get better.

We'll be taking our time on the road, so if we leave on Thursday, it will be 7-10 days after that that we arrive in CA. We have friends and family to visit along the way so we'll enjoy the trip too.

Doesn't traffic suck? I am finding the older I am getting, my patience sitting in traffic is thinning out. I do have a lot of patience Mary on most things, but when it comes to traffic, I have a tendency to get extremely annoyed. I need books on tape. ;o)
I ordered special wax for the table on Amazon so all I need to do is to pick up the dark gray which will be the base coat. I probably will do it sometime this week or next. I won't be seeing my client until the 3rd, She is surprising her hubby to a trip to Hawaii, a last hurrah before the baby is born. So I have time to paint.
I am dropping Lucy off right after I finish this to you, and no, her mom hasn't asked me a thing about her ears. I am so disturbed about this whole situation…I think she has an overload on her mind, and unfortunately Lucy Lou is at the bottom of the list as for concerns. Depressed? Who knows, maybe. But she seems way to busy to be depressed in my opinion. Well, I guess I better load Lucy in the car….Big Bummer. ;o(
