New Beginnings...

I am entering a second incarnation here on Spark People and in thinking about New Year's resolutions I realized something. I absolutely want to lose weight, but more than anything this year I will be working to accept myself for who I am. I have always said that I am harder on me than anyone else ever could be, but is that a good thing? I'm starting to think that it might not be.

My Goals:
I have a weight loss goal in mind, but mostly I want to be healthy and I want to be able to function better in my everyday life.

*Fly in comfort and without thinking that I'm my seat mate's worst nightmare

*Attend a hockey game with my Dad without getting a bruise from the arm of the chair digging into my leg.

*Shop anywhere I want

*Run a 5k - because jog/walking the first one was so darn cool

My Program:
I don't have a specific program, I'm going to try to keep it simple:

*At least 30 minutes of cardio 5 days a week

*Strength training 2 days a week

*Pay attention to what I'm eating and why

Personal Information:
I live in Connecticut now, but I will forever be a mid-western girl at heart.

Other Information:
'The dictionary is the only place where success comes before work. Hard work is the price we must pay for success. I think you can accomplish anything if you're willing to pay the price.' --Vince Lombardi
