Another re-write/ amendment to the ol' Spark profile is in order. Heeeeeeere we go... starting, of course, with the Readerís Digest version from the beginning:

- I started up on Spark in July 2008, while working for an internet startup in NYC and life was good. I got on the horse, started exercising regularly, tracking my meals, yadda yadda. All good stuff.

- January 2009 I was laid off with 85% of my colleagues. That. Just. Sucked. I probably donít need to tell you ...

- I started up on Spark in July 2008, while working for an internet startup in NYC and life was good. I got on the horse, started exercising regularly, tracking my meals, yadda yadda. All good stuff.

- January 2009 I was laid off with 85% of my colleagues. That. Just. Sucked. I probably donít need to tell you about how despite my wanting to make a negative into a positive, being unemployed during an economic depression was not good for my psyche or my waistline. Boo.

- Spring 2009 things look up Ė the Mister and I move to Raleigh, NC and I start up with a new job that has me working from home. This allows me to commit more time to working out and have healthier meals because Iím home and not counting on convenience foods. I drop mad poundage and even get certified and begin teaching Zumba at the local Y. At this point, life is good.

- And then it all blows up. November 2010 Iím laid off AGAIN. (Double-you-tee-eff, right?!) And there are NO jobs in RaleighÖ and teaching alone sadly wasnít going to be enough. All that combined with family illness led us to decide to move back to the NYC Metro area.

- I start a new job in NYC January 2011. Great people, cool officeÖ but CRAZY stress, nutsy hours, and weíre still figuring out our new living situation. All in all, a recipe for disaster health-wise. Yes, I was walking more, but when youíre also eating more, things donít offset quite the way you want them to. Yes, I gained. I didnít gain even close to everything I lost back (thank God), but just enough to be annoyed. Boo, again.

- But then, a wild "yay" appears. October 2011 brought me my dream job, back working in the education industry, working on a salary instead of a draw, and working for a company that actually gives a fig about its people. I work from home part of the time and am in the field part of the time... well... most of the time. In the field means running between college campuses, carrying heavy marketing materials up and down subway steps, etc. The bad news is that my exercise schedule went to crap. The good news is that given all the running I do for work, I didn't end up gaining nearly as much as I could have, given that my eating habits went a bit off the rails, too (eating out can be the devil when you are pressed for time and not paying the attention you should to your choices!!!!).

- And now, the latest twist (which not even my family knows about as of today, 11/26): Come January, we will be moving BACK to Raleigh, NC due to a job transfer on my end. Ironic, no? Yes. The good news means that with the new territory, I'll have increased control over my schedule, and I will most likely live in a community that has a gym for me to access for free. Oh, and the whole rest of the quality of life stuff.

BEE TEE DUBS... I'm planning a wedding and need to make sure the dress I already purchased not only fits, but looks amazeballs come August 23rd, 2014.
So, yes.

Ain't got no time fo' BLAH.
