Simply to reach my goals for exercise and eating right for each week. I apparently can't expect to lose at any particular rate, but I CAN take care of myself and the results will take care of themselves!
I have 3 kids and 2 stepchildren and 7 grandchildren. I am very happily married to the love of my life. I teach at a small private school and am the academic dean there as well.
Going to use this to list the benefits I gain from a healthy way of living - restarted the list 4/20/14 Starting resting heart rate is about 90, last bp was about 128/76 - both are higher than they used to be. My pants are so tight I don't have to wear a belt. All three will improve!
4/27/14 Heart rate is down to about 84 bpm. Pants are looser - down one belt notch. :-)

It is so awesome you found my journal impressive, I am determined to go all the way this. Writing things down has been helping me a lot. 'mini shred' is doing Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred in 15 days instead of the whole 30 days. So instead of doing each level for 10 days each, it is 5 days each. I hope you can join in someday.
