Chapter Four......09Dec2012....things are progressing and my program is starting to come together. I have been concentrating on eating clean, staying within my calorie goals and cooking more. I have been trying recipes and creating my own. I am starting to enjoy food again - good food - nutritious food - food that will feed my body and not my cravings, emotions, stress. I have made a start on an exercise program. This will take more work. Its not as much fun as eating - YET. But one goal is to make it fun. Will be outlining a set of fitness goals and a plan to reach it over the next week or so. It's time to move on to Stage 2 of the "Road to a Healthy Lifestyle for Lynn" saga. Am I up for it? You bet!!!

Chapter Three....... 09Oct2012....well here I am with another beginning...I look forward to sticking to it this time. It seems that life gets in the way of my good intentions. I think my first goal will be to work out a plan for dealing with the ups and downs of daily life and stress WITHOUT compromising my health and weight loss goals. One day at a time....that is the way I have to look at it. Too far into the future and I defeat myself before I even start.

Chapter Two:
A year later and I am reflecting on the eve of my oldest son's 19th birthday...where did the time go...yesterday I received a gift and certificate from my work in celebration of 25 years of service...the time goes so fast...I still love to read whenever I can. I just recently discovered eBooks and have purchased my first eReader. I love it. I am starting over on my weight loss journey and reconnecting with Sparkpeople. I still haven't discovered how to keep everything going when life gets busy. That will be one of my goals - make a plan and follow it when everything around me is going crazy.

Single mother of two teenage boys, been working for a national association for 24 years in the Finance department(and still love it), love to read just about anything but especially police or medical dramas, enjoy spending time with family and friends, walking and hiking, old movies, most kinds of music but Country is where my heart is.

My Goals:
My goals are to get my weight down to a healthy level for me and live a heart healthy lifestyle that includes a good fitness program. In August of this year I underwent bypass surgery and don't want to go there again!!! So it is time to make some changes.


My Program:
I found this site which has added a new demension to my program. I am currently learning to eat a heart healthy diet and cutting down on calaries. I am getting daily exercise of a 30 to 60 min walk(200 to 400 min/wk) and starting some strength training and exercise.



Personal Information:
I live in the country just outside a small town in Ontario. I work in Ottawa for a national association. I am originally from Saskatchewan but have been in Ontario for most of my life. All my immediate family is here except for one sister who moved back out west and now lives in Alberta with her four kids.
