2015 GOAL: Get to a healthy BMI number. GOAL: Keep track of my cholesterol numbers so I can stay off medication.
Track nutrition and fitness every day. Continue to enter challenges and enjoy friends--old and new!
My name is Phyllis but I have been called MawMaw for lots of years now. I am 74 years old, live in the country in southwest Indiana. Through my life I have tried WeightWatcher, TOPS and lots of things that make me cringe now in hindsight. The Spark Program is the first time that I have taken control of my own program and made it just for me instead of following the "one size fits all" outlined for me by others.
My joys, besides my large beautiful family, are any type of sewing, knitting, quilting, etc. and sitting on the front porch with a good book!
to all you regulars, who show up and put up with all my Happy Hour blogs every Friday! I love the camaraderie, and am so very happy that you are enjoying the laughs enough to make it a point to return every Friday. In keeping with one of the “Punnies” today: A good friend is like a good bra . . . hard to find, supportive, comfortable, always lifts you up, makes you look good, and always is close to your heart. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you for joining me at my “Friday Happy Hour” blog, and for making them a regular part of your Friday afternoon routine. I am so very happy that they bring a smile to your face, and a giggle from your belly! That is precisely the intention for which they are created, and I welcome and love reading every single one of your comments and feedback. As long as you keep coming, I’ll try to keep you rolling on the floor with laughter! I’ll see you next Friday!
Phyllis for taking the time to read and respond to my blogs, Spark Journey TIPS (Part 1) and My Spark Journey (Part 2). Your support and encouragement means so much to me. Have a beautiful and blessed weekend.
Thank you for deciding to come and visit my page today, and to read my "The Positive Side of Discouragement" blog! I have reached a plateau on my weight loss again, and I have been trying to understand and get past it.
I sometimes have difficulty facing Monday mornings because I know it's the start of a whole week ahead, but the last few weeks have seen no perceived progress, and I was beginning to become quite discouraged. As the week wore on, I thought others might be having the same difficulty, too - and so as I mulled things over in my head, this blog evolved.
Thanks for all your positive feedback on this blog! I do hope that whenever you are feeling discouraged, you'll remember to stop and search for the "positive side of your disappointment".
I'm glad that you found it helpful and worthwhile, and that it helped to put some things into perspective for you too, and gave you a new perspective - along with a positive spin on your day to help you finish your week with renewed spirit!
