My healthier ME journey
I am a 55 years old and live in NH. My goals have changed a lot lately. I recently fit into my first pair of size 14 jeans. I haven't fit into anything that size since before my son was born and he is 26! I also have goals that aren't weight, exercise or nutrition related with is totally new for me. I am a 55 years old and live in NH. My goals have changed a lot lately. I recently fit into my first pair of size 14 jeans. I haven't fit into anything that size since before my son was born and he is 26! I also have goals that aren't weight, exercise or nutrition related with is totally new for me. I have discovered hiking and I love it. My goals for this summer are: 1.Climb Mount Monadnock (a local trail) 2.At least once a month, hike one of the trails in Franconia State Park 3.Go on a 2-day hike to Carter Notch in the White Mountain National Forest. *********** 1. I will stay within my calorie range of 1320-1670 calories a day. 2. I will log everything I eat (good or bad). I will also strive to increase my fiber intake. 3. I will do a minimum of 45 minutes per day of cardio for 6 days a week-no excuses. Anything extra is a bonus! 4. I will strength train a minimum of 3 times a week-no excuses. 5. I will work with my personal trainer to improve my mobility issues and become stronger along the way. 6. I will track my fitness on a daily basis. 7. I will make every effort to reach my 5% goal (9.66 lbs.). 8. I blog at least 2 times a week. 10. I will post these goals in a place where I can see them on a daily basis. 11. I will weigh-in weekly. My Goals:
1. Lose 17.8 pounds to reach goal. I will see how I feel when I reach that weight about going further. 2. Fit into a size 12 jeans . 3. Swim 10 laps with ease. 4. Learn to see the person hiding inside! 5. Complete the Spring to Summer 5% Challenge and lose 5% of my body weight.
My Program:
I have started tracking all the food I eat each day. Quite an eye opener let me tell you. I joined the local gym and will begin interval training there. I will also do weight training and use the lap pool on alternating days.
