A lifestyle

I have a family history of diabetes and high cholesterol, so even though I have not had weight problems, SparkPeople helps me track food intake and exercise.

In 2009 SP helped me get incredibly fit, although the winter season saw me put on about 15 pounds. I did not meet my fitness goal of running a marathon, and learned that marathon training is very time consuming.

For 2010, my goals are running 1-2 half marathons, exercising regularly, and dropping those 15 pounds!

Hey Martmania! Did you run the Des Moines Marathon? I wasn't able to do the half because of a family obligation. I hope it went well for you!

I'm baaack! Fell off the duck pond for a while. Trying to get started again! After last Saturday's game against CAL, looks like the ducks might actually have an offense. I'll be at Autzen next week for the game against WSU. I've missed chatting with all the fellow duck fans, but now I'm ready for some football!!!!!

Hey thanks for checking in with me recently. I will talk to my counselor about my issue next time I see her, but yes, bottling things up inside is difficult. That led to my brother's problems for example.

Hi Martmania! I noticed you mentioned in a blog or comment that you have a Total Gym. I am considering one for us, but wondered how you like it.
