Marne's Quest

Hi! I'm 61 years young and from Michigan. It seems like i've always had a weight problem. My last weight spurt started when I quit smoking cold turkey over two years ago. Two years and two new hips later, I am 50 pounds heavier than I was then. Now I think what I looked like before wasn't so bad!!! This time I'm going to try and change my attitude. I have lost this much weight before in my life, and I think I can do it again. My goal is to "get 'er done" and enjoy the ride.

Thanks for the comment on my page. Hope you're having a good evening. How did the dinner turn out?
Todays sales weren't as good as we had hoped but hoping tomorrow will be better.

I've been missing you and I'm glad you're back. There are lots of folks here on Spark People that have merged WW with their SP stuff so maybe you just need to find a balance. I know WW has worked for several of my friends, but I'm a putz when it comes to counting points. I just let my nutrition calculator do it for me.

Anyway, glad to have you back. I need all the support (and kind words) I can get!

Actually, I was more impressed with what the heart rate monitor was attached to. Today mine registered 290, at which rate I would have surely been dead. LOL. You read my thoughts exactly. Way too few calories. That's when I said, "take action in your own defense. " Let's kick ay and lose some this spring. Your ending weight is my goal also, so I'm assuming you're about my height. ( That's vertically challenged. LOL)

Ooooh! I've never had a HR monitor before! Thanks a bunch!

Are you SURE she said 1000 cal? That's way too few, kiddo. You need a certain number every day just to keep your heart beating and lungs expanding. I think your plan to do it with WW points is much more sensible! Keep me posted.

Hey, girlfriend! I'm just swinging by your page to drop off a goodie and give you a tickle! How's it going?
