Added note, thanks for giving me the actual date...I had you and another sister a bit confused as to dates...I didn't know yours and thought I had put it in my book (on a sticky note) on the correct date. Now I have it all untangled..at least till next year.

Thanks for the SparkGoodie! I will have to see about a photo...My best picture taker has moved to Denver...a bit out of reach. I have lost my weight so slowly that there is little visible change. Wish I could find a good BEFORE pic!
Re: the Fitbit..I love mine..but it is not the Fitbit that brings success...it is using it as a tool. It tracks steps, flights of stairs and sleep. I don't bother with the supposed calories burned. I have found the fitbit helpful in getting me to challenge myself to go a little further, do a little more, building on successes. At one point, I challenged myself to keep adding flights of stairs until I did 75 flights in one day (and was sore afterward!) Now I aim for 10 flights as part of each day's steps taken. I have discovered that upping my steps helps knock off a few more pounds. It depends, of course, on how you walk, and how consistently you walk. I don't run, and sometimes don't even walk fast...but I make a point now of walking consistently every day. I would wish it weren't quite so time consuming, but I find listening to NPR as I walk helps..and now my husband, in an effort to get his belly back under control, has agreed to walk with me. 410 days ago
