I've dieted many times over the years, but I've never
approached it with the desire to take the time to make real changes. I know I'll need to make small changes to a lifetime of bad habits, but that is the only way I'll succeed in losing weight and becoming healthier.

I've always been the heavy friend or sister. I don't have a clue what it feels like to be the "skinny" friend. And you know what? I probably won't ever know how that feels. I'm not built for no hips, super model skinniness (is that a word?) but I can be thinner than this. I can be in the best shape of my life. I can be able to run a 5K or up a flight of stairs, for that matter, without calling in the paramedics.
I'm not going to get healthy just by cutting out calories. I hate to say this, because heaven knows I am not a fan of sweating but I have to exercise. And this means consistent and heart pumping exercise.

C25K program
11/6/10 Started C25K. Could only run 4 segments.
11/17/10 Starting W2D1 of C25K, ran all of the running intervals (Unbelievable)
11/24/10 Started W3D1. Ran all of the running intervals. It is amazing how long 3 minutes are when you're running it for the first time.

-be able to tie my jacket around my waist, like when I was in HS
-to sit in one of those awful white plastic chairs and get up without fear of it being attached to my butt
-shop in a store that doesn't have a plus size department & NOT be there for socks or shoes
-be comfortable being in the front row for pictures

-Go to the torture class (AKA: Aerobics from Hell) at the Y every Tuesday and Thursday
