I have been using Sparkpeople off and on since 2006 to try and get myself fit and healthy. During Grad school I put on about 30 lbs between the convenience eating and not having time for exercise. Working at a high-calorie restaurant sure didn't help either since I had a lot of meals there on my breaks! I have been using Sparkpeople off and on since 2006 to try and get myself fit and healthy. During Grad school I put on about 30 lbs between the convenience eating and not having time for exercise. Working at a high-calorie restaurant sure didn't help either since I had a lot of meals there on my breaks! Even after changing jobs I was still working full-time and going to school full-time and it didn't leave me a whole lot of time to put towards myself...so I've been working on it ever since. I used sparkpeople successfully in 2006-2007 and lost 23 lbs. I got pregnant in 2007 with my daughter and put on about 41 lbs with that, came back to sparkpeople in 2008 to work on losing the weight again. I lost the pregnancy weight and continued to try and lose the last 10-15 lbs I was working on before. I started running in 2009, initially to help with my weight loss, but found that it gave me so much more than that...I ran my first half marathon in November 2009 and it is in the top of my list of things that I'm proud of myself for doing...what an amazing feeling that was to accomplish that goal! I'm back to Sparkpeople now after having my second baby girl in November of 2010. I've lost the baby weight and once again its time to get to my goal finally!

My Goals:
As of 5/15/12 - Short Term: Lose 10 lbs to get to a healthy BMI (starting 161) Long Term: Lose 15 lbs to reach my goal weight (145) and run a half marathon under 2:15:00. Icing on the Cake: Lose 30 lbs to be WELL within my healthy weight range and run a marathon!
