Choosing to lose

Hi
I weigh more than I want to.... Its time to take my life back. I'm not sure how I'm going to get where I want to be and Sparkpeople seemed like a good place to start.

I've been using my weight as an excuse not to do things with people and I'm ready to start being me again.

Sparkpeople is full of positive people and that's who I need to help me get to where I want to be.

My Goals:
I'm going to lose 30 lbs by 31 May 11. I pledged the food bank that I would.

Get a stand/shelf for my TV so I can watch TV/movies while I'm on the stair climber.

My Program:
30 mins of cardio x 5
20 mins of strength x 3

Personal Information:
I'm an AF brat so I have lived all over the world.

I would prefer to exercise with another person or persons vs. by myself. I get tired of my own company after awhile.

I'm currently single and looking :-)

Lucy, you're off to a good start. Getting support from others is a very important step. It's amazing how you will find others who understand, appreciate or been there done that. You are not alone. Hi luci. When you say award on my page. Do you mean the spark people motivator? That is voted by other sparkpeople. The awards for drinking, steps, etc. are all tracked on your Other Goals tab.

Soda was so tough for me as well. I used to drink 4 20oz cokes a day. I originally cut down to 1 a day. Then I started drinking a fruit smoothie in place of the one coke. It was much more tasty and like a 100 times haelthier.

I have atleast one smoothie a day now and I have not had a sode in three months. I took a sip of one a few weeks ago and thought it was nasty.
