Move it TO Lose it

Hello fellow Sparkers! My name is Lauren and I'm 28 years old. I'm learning to be more active again as time goes by. I was extremely active throughout my entire childhood as a dancer and then after college I just kind of stopped...and so did my metabolism apparently.

I'm a kindergarten teacher, so I'm on my feet and running around all day long. I just need to get the motivation after work to get moving! I've recently found a love for walking. I also really enjoy group ...
Hello fellow Sparkers! My name is Lauren and I'm 28 years old. I'm learning to be more active again as time goes by. I was extremely active throughout my entire childhood as a dancer and then after college I just kind of stopped...and so did my metabolism apparently.

I'm a kindergarten teacher, so I'm on my feet and running around all day long. I just need to get the motivation after work to get moving! I've recently found a love for walking. I also really enjoy group fitness classes such as Muscle Pump and Zumba.

I really taking part in challenge teams. I've been a member of the Biggest Loser and 5% Challenges. I've been on the Awesome A's and the Tangerines.

My winter 2014 Challenge Exercise Commitment is is:
*To do a minimum of 10 minutes of intentional exercise per day
*Actually utilize my YMCA membership regularly
*To make monthly calendars and use a star system to keep visible reminders of what I'm doing daily (including water consumption, exercise, tracking food, cardio, and ST).
*Tracking my food consistently.

Current Status:
LTURSS Dr. cleared me to exercise again w/the torn meniscus. Going to start off easy and work my way back up. Looking forward to it!

*3 fruits/veggies daily for one week
*8 glasses of water daily for one week
*Track nutrition daily for 1 week


My Program:
*Pack healthy lunches 3x per week
*Cardio sessions at least 5x per week
*Strength train at least 3x per week
*Sleep at least 7 hrs per night

I am from Claymont, Delaware. I teach Kindergarten in Newark, Delaware. I have a wonderful boyfriend, Andy. I'm a member of the YMCA.
