I'm 33 years old, 5'7" and currently 235 pounds. At my heaviest I weighed 270 pounds (in 2007). My doctor put me on a diet pill at that time. Although I was able to get all the way down to 180 pounds, as soon as I stopped taking the pill, the weight came back (thankfully not all of it).

My goal is to be athletic and spend more time doing fun, active things - like walking with my dogs, playing some sports, and I'd love to someday compete in one of those mud-run or obstacle course ...

My goal is to be athletic and spend more time doing fun, active things - like walking with my dogs, playing some sports, and I'd love to someday compete in one of those mud-run or obstacle course type events. My goal weight is 160-170 lbs, but really I have a certain body type in mind for myself more than a particular weight.

I feel right now like I'm being held back from doing those things, partly because I'm a graduate student (so much of my free time goes into doing homework and research) and partly because my husband does not want to do the active things I want to do. He works a very physically strenuous job and only wants to lay on the couch when he gets home.

Hey, thanx for the shout out Goodie, it is getting increasingly more difficult to exercise, but I am staying at it.

I started a walking club at school, and do that 3 times a week. I don't get a lot of mileage in, but I am moving. The congestive heart condition and arthritis are a one - two punch that I have to fight and overcome just to exercise a little, but I am working on getting both monkeys off my back.

Again, thanx for the encouragement.

Don't know if and or how this may fit your schedule, but we are having an OKC Team picnic, this Sat. at Harvest Hills Park, from 11 til..???

Would love to have you drop by if you can make it... check the Forum for details, and we got enough food so just show up for a bit and take a load off your mind.

emoticon We are good therapy from crabby, lousy coworkers.
