LOVEMYBODY2012

I'm interested in improving my health and fitness. I already love to exercise but need to be more consistent and to improve my eating habits.

I've decided that in my life the word diet is used only as a noun, as in what I eat, not as a verb. I'm going to eat in a healthy way, always choosing to try my best and practicing self-compassion when I am not perfect. I am not dieting, I am eating well.

Hi, just saying hello and how are things going with you? Are you still doing yoga? Let us know how your fitness adventure and wellness journey are going. I had lost 20 lbs in the fall of 2012 and then regained it around and after the holiday season in Dec 2012 to April 2013. But now I have put the brakes on the weight gain and am continuing my wellness journey! emoticon emoticon

“The whole idea of motivation is a trap. Forget motivation. Just do it. Exercise, lose weight, test your blood sugar, or whatever. Do it without motivation. And then, guess what? After you start doing the thing, that's when the motivation comes and makes it easy for you to keep on doing it.”
-John C. Maxwell

Get ready for a healthy week, Sparkfriend! You know what you want, and you know what you need to do in order to make it happen...so just do it! Push yourself, even if you don't feel like it...because you really are worth the effort!

"The common conception is that motivation leads to action, but the reverse is true....action precedes motivation. You have to "prime the pump" and get the juice flowing, which motivates you to work on your goals. Getting momentum going is the most difficult part of the job, and often taking the first step is enough to prompt you to make the best of your day."
-Robert McKain

"Making changes in your life is never an easy task. The key, however, is not to get caught up in the distance you have to go to get to where you want to be. Nor should you despair over the amount of control you have over your circumstances. Progress is made in the small, intentional steps, and chances are, you have more power than you think. By focusing on little steps you can take every day, the progress you make will motivate you to continue your journey, and eventually, you can go wherever you want to go. The important thing is simply to begin."
-Stephen Cherniske

Just stopping by to say hello and to encourage you to keep moving towards your goals, Sparkfriend! Even baby steps add up if you take enough of them...and of course, you know you're worth the effort, right? I'm rooting for you!
Hugs,
Pixie

"The first step to living the life you want is leaving the life you don't want.
Taking the first step forward is always the hardest.
But then each step forward gets easier and easier.
Each step forward gets you closer and closer until eventually, what had once been invisible starts to be visible.
And what had once felt impossible starts to feel possible."
